Healing Pathways Program Framework
Executive Summary
Healing Pathways is a narrative-based, trauma-informed facilitation framework that integrates psycho-spiritual development with evidence-aligned group process strategies. Built to serve a wide range of populations—from clinical addiction recovery to holistic wellness communities—Healing Pathways combines structure with adaptability, offering a scalable, modular system for transformative healing.
Framework Overview
Healing Pathways is not a static curriculum—it is a facilitation framework comprised of twelve thematic “Paths,” each containing structured experiential processes, somatic exercises, reflective practices, and group dialogue formats. It is designed to guide participants through a progressive arc of transformation: from grounding and personal narrative development to integration, meaning-making, and community reengagement.
Core Components
- Sequential, Scaffolded Structure: Each session (Path) builds upon the last, with clear thematic focus and increasing depth.
- Circle-Based Facilitation: Emphasizes relational safety, voice equity, and co-regulation through peer-supported dialogue.
- Somatic Integration: Grounding practices and body-centered activities are embedded in every session.
- Narrative and Archetypal Framing: Incorporates story, metaphor, and mythic symbolism as tools for psychological insight and identity transformation.
- Cultural & Contextual Adaptability: Designed to be adapted for diverse audiences while retaining fidelity to core principles.
Modular Application
The Healing Pathways framework supports distinct module tracks, such as:
- Clinical/ASAM Level 1: Aligns with recovery-oriented systems of care, integrates SMART goals, Stages of Change, and supports documentation needs.
- Holistic Track: Designed for private counseling, coaching, and non-clinical settings with emphasis on spiritual integration and personal meaning.
- Veterans Track (“Going Away, Then Coming Home”): Tailored for those navigating the warrior-to-civilian journey, addressing moral injury, reintegration, and the deep identity work of return.
- Generation X & Aging (in pre-planning): A future-focused module addressing the unique existential, spiritual, and social challenges of midlife, legacy, and purpose after youth-driven identities fade.
Each module adapts content, tone, and facilitation style to population needs without altering the foundational process architecture.
